Welcome

Welcome to Project 2010. Project 2010 is a way to live out the "serving in love" part of our mission statement.  Every person in the Brecksville UMC family is encouraged to commit at least one hour of hands-on service in the community this year. We hope to reach 2,010 hours as a congregation--at least!  Below are the many programs available for volunteer service.

Ronald McDonald House Seeks Volunteers

Volunteers who will provide a warm, friendly and supportive atmosphere for families are urgently needed for the Ronald McDonald Family Rooms.

Learn more at: http://www.rmhcleveland.org/

The Ronald McDonald Family Rooms are an extension of the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland. A bit of home within the walls of a hospital, the Family Room is a brief respite for families to use while remaining merely steps away from their child's bedside.

MetroHealth Family Room is located on the towers' fourth floor near the Department of Peidatrics.  Volunteers are needed for three hour shifts, and volunteer parking is free. Prior to hire, a hospital paid TB test, criminal background check and finger prints will be required.  Additional on-site training will also occur.

Family Room Volunteers
Upon  entering one of our Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, families are greeted by volunteers who act as host or hostess of the room. Volunteers register visitors, explain what services are available, and help families feel at home.

They also help to keep the room neat and tidy, restock snacks and beverages, maintain statistical records, and enforce policies.
