Have you ever wondered about other faiths, what they believe and how that differs from Christianity? This fall, we will offer a class that delves into the history and beliefs of six major world religions: Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, the Baha'i and Sikhism. Join us this fall to explore how the beliefs and practices of these religions are similar to and different from basic Christian beliefs. Religious tolerance will be promoted by the understanding of other religions' beliefs about sin, forgiveness, salvation, future beyond death, ethics, etc.

We will be reading the book What Do Other Faiths Believe?, written by Paul Stroble, an honors history instructor at the University of Akron and an ordained elder in the United Methodist church. The class will be led by Alan Scheufler, and will meet on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am. starting Sept. 14. There will be an $8.00 book fee for the class. Registration will begin soon. Once registered, you will be contacted before class begins regarding book pick up.

Four new Sunday morning adult education classes begin on September 14 as part of our new Sunday School for All Ages program, which will be held from 10 am - 10:55 am between worship services. Look for more information on these classes in the coming weeks.
