The Second Time Around
David Monseau
Brecksville United Methodist church member David Monseau has written a book titled "The Second Time Around," a first hand account of heart surgery, recovery, rehabilitation and a brighter future. This compelling book describes Dave's experience, capturing the trauma of both patient and family as they journey through the medical maze of life threatening surgery. The book raises ones awareness and understanding of the patient experience. His story helps us to understand all that he was going through and how he has adapted to the outcome.Dave Monseau, a member of Brecksville United Methodist Church, is not your typical author. A businessman by career, an educator by experience and a storyteller by avocation, his writing style is conversational. He is sitting right across from you as you read his adventure. You feel his confusion, his frustration, and finally his acceptance of his reality. Dave shares with you, as only a patient and a survivor can, the revelations of his journey and the joy of seeing a bright future, where previously there was only concern and trauma. Dave is a graduate of Wittenberg University, with postgraduate degrees from the Universities of West Virginia and Michigan. If you are interesting in purchasing a copy, you can call Dave directly at 440 838 8259 or e-mail him at dmonseau@roadrunner.com. A portion of sales to church members will be donated to the church capital fund.
