Last month, we highlighted our rapidly growing Christian Musical Arts Program in a feature article. If you missed learning more about this exciting program, make sure you don’t miss the wonderful upcoming events in which our children and youth are participating. On Saturday, April 24, we will welcome clinician Paul Caldwell from Chicago for a day of choral activities culminating in a wonderful festival worship service at 4:00 pm. This is a tremendous opportunity to invite the greater Cleveland community into our church home, and we invite you to be a part of the hospitality and excitement of that day with your presence and support.
On Sunday, May 23, the CMAP program will present their spring musicals. Please note the change of date, and mark your calendar accordingly. Beginning at 4:00 pm, our K through 3rd graders will present It’s Okay to Be Different, a short musical in which we learn about peace and reconciliation through the Biblical image of the lion and the lamb. They will be followed by our 4th through 8th graders in Elijah, God’s Faithful Prophet, a story about placing our trust in God.
In the words of the ineffable Helen Kemp,
“Body ~ Mind ~ Spirit ~ Voice
It takes the whole person to sing and rejoice.”
Our young people are doing just that.
Soli Deo Gloria,
