DID YOU KNOW...
* The need for blood typically increases during the summer, with increased accidents on the highways and from outdoor activities.
* Type O negative blood is always in high demand because it can be transfused to patients with any blood type, especially in emergency situations.
* Individuals who are 17 years of age, meet weight and height requirements (110 pounds or more, depnding on their height) and who are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood.
