Open Table Worship Service, September 27
We are delighted to be the host church for the Annual Conference Open Table Worship Service, Sunday afternoon, September 27, at 4 pm. The service will be streamed live here on our website, on our Facebook page and on YouTube.

An Open Table worship service is an opportunity for the LGBTQIA+ community and allies to worship together in a safe, affirming and meaningful way.  This very special service has historically been part of Annual Conference and has included a joyful parade and national speaker. Of course everything needs to be re-thought this year and we are excited for our church and church choir to participate in this event.

In many ways, it feels like we are in a holding pattern in the world in this time of pandemic.  We are also in a holding pattern in the United Methodist Church.  We thought that the healing would have begun by now with the decisions made at General Conference - but those decisions have been postponed.

Instead we need to hold tightly onto God's love and rest in God's love in this "holy disturbance."  It is easy to lose sight of God's love and to be impatient.  Those who have been harmed by the UMC are continuing to be harmed.  When can we start the healing? Why, God, do we have to keep waiting?

Join us in this inclusive worship service, a time of community, comfort, courage and healing!
